Ash Wednesday

Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. I wrote my thoughts on it last year and am increasingly burdened to turn towards God with each Lenten season that passes. Ann has some wonderful suggestions and if you follow the links in her post you will find even more ideas and explanation.

Mark 8:34 And Jesus
called [to Him] the throng with His disciples and said to them, If anyone
intends to come after Me, let him deny himself [forget, ignore, disown, and
