A GIVEAWAY!!

***This is a sticky post and due to the giveaway will stay at the top of the blog for a week. Please scroll down to see newer posts.
To celebrate my 100th post and to bring some of you out of hiding I am hosting my first GIVEAWAY! Now this is no Pioneer Woman or MckMama giveaway (which are both over, by the way, don't get too excited) but hey, it's something!

I know lots of people visit, I've had 1,999 visitors as of today. I can see your footprints and know you were here (hey you Myrtle Beach, South Carolina! Hi out there Zanesville, Ohio! How's it going Saratoga, California?) but most of you are lurkers. And let's face it...I need feedback. SO...

Here's what I'm offering:

Very similar to the Parent Teacher Survival Kit. You'll receive a super cuted-up (I think I just made that up) hand sanitizer, pretty tissues, chocolate, breath mints, pretty notepad, and a $5 gift certificate to Starbucks (or if you live near me I will sub out a gift cert to Grounds for Pleasure if you'd like - I have nothing against Starbucks but I would definitely choose Grounds for Pleasure). Your patterns will be vary slightly from the picture. You can keep this for yourself, give it to your favorite teacher, or keep it on hand for a quick birthday gift.

Here's what I need from you:
COMMENTS! Just leave me a comment about what kinds of posts you'd like to see in the future. Sometimes I blab about my family (my second passion, after God), sometimes I blab about books (my third passion) and sometimes I blab about my house or other nonsensical things. What do you want to read more about? If you don't have a Google account and I don't already have your email address, make sure you leave your email address for me!

And if you'd like to be entered twice, write a post on your blog sending people over, then come back and leave another comment with the link. My goal is to get 100 comments before Valentines Day!

Contest ends at midnight February 13 and winner will be announced February 14.

  1. Ok...so I'll be the first to comment. It sounds like I'm one of several lurkers, but I actually know you in person too and maybe you've guessed who I am by now. I found your blog through your Facebook and absolutely love it! One of the things I love is the variety of your posts...I never know what's coming and that makes it fun! I love to read about your family and the fun things you are doing in your house...so close to my home!

I keep saying I'm gonna start a blog but haven't done it yet so I'll just get entered in your giveaway this way for now and maybe I'll get motivated in the next week so I can get another entry. This is my first comment anywhere ever...small baby steps are in order.

  4. Is this like one of those contests where;

Employees, former employees, anyone who might be a future employee; anyone who is related to an employee, former employee, or possible future employee; or anyone who has breathed the same air as an employee, former employee, or possible future employee of Burker King or any of its subsidararies are not eligable.

    Or can I enter?

Love all your posts especially the ones about that great Mr. Steady guy. I think every Mrs. K should have one, but then again I guess there is only One Mr. Steady HUH?

I also love to read about the books you request from the library. It gives me great ideas about the books I should expect to see in a few days.

Your blog is awsome, but then again what should one expect from a woman who is 10 times as awsome as her blog.

    -Mr. Steady

P.S. I hope you have my email address because I do not want to list it here due to the fact that for the most part I don't want to get emails from your readers saying "OH Mr. Steady I wish you could teach my husband to be just like you." Because you know I get that ALL the time just walking down the street and my e-mail is my ONLY refuge from hearing that.

LOVE YOU! Congrats on your 100th post!

  6. Of course I'll comment!! I too, like Lisa, like the posts about the fun educational things you do with your family. They inspire me. As a matter of fact, we have the book 'What Presidents Are Made Of' right now..thanks to your recommendation.
I'll have to say that I also like it when Mr. Steady comments. I can just hear him saying the things he types sometimes!!
God bless your day...I'll be back later with a comment with a link to my post!

  9. Hi! Congrats on your 100th post! Mine has come and gone and I still can't come up with what I want to do about it. So I just don't!
I like all your posts. It's fun to see what other people do to decorate their home and to hear what they do with their children.
    Blessings,

  10. Ummmm, Can you clearify something for us in Blogreadingville, USA

When you say you want 100 comments, is that like 100 different people commenting on 1 post, or 100 people commenting on all your posts total, or 2 people commenting on a single post 50 times each

  12. Hello to you
I like reading your blog because it is a good way to keep up with you since we don't see each other much, and we don't catch each other on the phone very often. Maybe if we could take the day off and go to Columbus and eat at Schmidt's like our hubbies we would get some chatting in. I love your book ideas. At Christmas we got a bunch of the books you had listed. Where do you get your lists???? Also I love reading about cheap house fix ups. By the way I took your advice and fixed my "icky light". I took the globes off and my mom spray painted it for me. I like it much better. We also painted the walls tan and inside the china cupboard blue. The dining room is much more cheerful. You'll have to come over and play games at our table again...Take care and love you!!
