I love that quote..."using their names gently"!!! I often try to call Mary Catherine by both names...all of the time...not just using her middle name when I am upset with her...but rather, to show her the beauty and power behind her name that was given to her with the blessing of God!

When my daughter was little (now 20) I would always caller her by both names when I was mad. Even though she is older now and lives on her own, I still can use some patience and gentleness. Love your blog and now following. Tina
